Om modellen
Breitling's business began with timing instruments rather than wristwatches: Leon Breitling set up in St-Imier in 1884 to build chronographs for sport, industry and science, and the firm went on making them long after the wristwatch had taken over. The Sprint belongs to that side of the house — a hand-wound stopwatch for whoever is standing at the trackside, in the laboratory or beside a rally stage, with nothing on the dial that is not needed to read an elapsed time. The layout of every modern chronograph comes from the same family: Gaston Breitling put the first separate chronograph pusher at two o'clock in 1915, and Willy Breitling patented the two-pusher arrangement in 1933.
