The first mechanical alarm watch made in the Soviet Union. The First Moscow Watch Factory introduced it in 1959 under the name Signal, and the calibre 2612 inside was worked up from the Swiss A. Schild 1475. Two crowns: the upper one winds the alarm and sets it against its own hand, the lower one runs the watch. The alarm has a mainspring of its own, so setting it costs the timekeeping nothing. The Signal name was folded into the Poljot trademark in 1964, and the movement stayed in production with little change for decades afterwards.

Dial in flawless condition. Chrome intact — a single small speck is missing on one lug, visible only under a loupe, with no worn-through plating. Acrylic crystal free of cracks; it needs polishing.

Vad jag vet är fel på den

The alarm works, but sometimes releases itself while the alarm spring is being wound — the detent does not hold against the spring's torque, most likely dried oil or worn locking surfaces. Note that the case is chrome-plated brass and must not be polished.
