Seiko J13052 "Sportsman Sea Horse"

Seiko · J13052 · 1964-11

About this model

Sportsman was Seiko's line for everyday wear, a step above the plain base models: hand-wound, and built to be used rather than saved. This case was made in November 1964, the month after Seiko had acted as official timekeeper for the Tokyo Olympics — the job that put the company in front of a worldwide audience for the first time and marked the start of its push into export markets. The Sea Horse name comes from the sea horse engraved on the case back.

I have not had this one on the bench, so there is nothing written down. Ask and I will take a proper look and tell you what I find before you decide anything.
